Longtime reader and fan from Canada. Just saw a decision rule article for thrombectomy in stroke from BMJ. Looks like something you might like. Lots of COI but some honesty too re futility or harm of tx in some cases

I saw this, but I wonder if it isn’t already obsolete – derived off MR-CLEAN and validated on IMS-III. It seems as though contemporary patient selection is moving to a tissue-based criteria, and these trial populations are no longer quite as generalizable. The guidelines might say one thing, but I think the neurologists practicing in my area are doing what’s right for individual patients.
